About my Trip

I went to Angkor, Cambodia to see the temples in 2019. I stayed for 3 days in Siem Reap and used a tour guide to see the temples.

This was a casual holiday and my focus was on relaxing and having fun rather than photography. With this in mind I took my Fujifilm X100F as it is a lightweight and very enjoyable camera.

About angkor

Angkor was the capital city for the Khmer empire. The city flourished between the 9th and 15th centuries when the empire was at its strongest. The city is home to many temples and is now a major tourist draw for the country of Cambodia. The city’s main attraction is the magnificent Angkor Wat (see below), and there are also many other beautiful temples you can visit whilst staying in Angkor or Siem Reap. Final Thoughts

I had a really great time in Angkor and enjoyed the experience. This place is truly unique and very different from the western way of life. The prices are cheap and the experience is enriching and unforgettable.

In terms of the pictures I was happy but not delighted with my overall results. I think I could have taken better shots if I focused more on photography. However, this holiday was more about relaxing. I was please that I got a good mix of details, architecture, and people.
